All Healthcare Practitioners are required to obtain a professional license in Saudi Arabia to work in Saudi Arabia.

Prior to your arrival in Saudi Arabia, you must register with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) under the Mumaris system (www.scfhs.org.sa/en/) .

You would upload your qualification credentials to SCFHS system in a two-step process:

  1. Upload your qualification credentials in Mumaris system to determine if SCFHS accepts your qualification. Once Mumaris approves your qualification, you would be given an Eligibility Number to proceed further. Along with this, applicant will also know if he/she needs to take the Licensing Exam or not.
  2. Once you have the Eligibility Number from Mumaris, upload your documents in DataFlow system for verification. When completing Dataflow, only the qualification and experience sections (two sections) need to be completed.

Upon your arrival in Saudi Arabia, you would need to submit the following documents to SCFHS to obtain a Saudi professional license:

  • Employment Certificate - You need to obtain this certificate/letter from each of your current/past employer confirming your job title, employment period, etc. A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the field of your specialty is mandatory.
  • Educational Credentials - Copies of your degree/diploam and/or valid professional licesne from your home country. authenticated by the Saudi Cultural Mission/Bureau in your home country. All certificates and experience must be translated into English Language
  • Completed Application for SCFHC Form - Your recruiter or your employer in Saudi Arabia would provide you this form.
  • Other Requirements - Your resume, Passport sized pictures, copy of Passport, Copy of Iqama if available, Application Fee.


Summary: Submit your documents to Mumaris. Once Mumaris confirms that you are eligible for registration, submit your qualification documents to Dataflow for primary source verification. After Dataflow verifies your documents, SCHS issues your license.
