Job Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (online degrees/diplomas are not accepted), and  
• Current Nursing (RN) license in North America, Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand, and
• Specialty qualification related to area of expertise required. Evidence must be provided, and
• Minimum of four years with MSN or six years with BSN of current experience as a RN, including at least two years of current leadership experience, working in a mid- to large-size acute-care hospital setting in North America, Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand.

Department Information

The Perioperative Nursing Department at our client hospital in Riyadh has six units; Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, Level-II OR, Day Surgery Unit, Pre-Anesthesia Clinic, Day Medical Unit, and IVF Clinic.

The PACU provides advanced nursing care to adult and pediatric patients who are in the immediate postoperative period or those who require minor surgical procedures.

Nurse Patient Ratio:
1:1 (pediatric/unstable, unconscious adult)
1:2 (conscious, stable patient)

Hours of Operation:
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and this is as follows:
Four Shifts:
      07:00 – 16:30  5 days
      08:00 – 17:30  5 days
      08:00 – 19:30  4 days
Charge Nurse: 07:00 – 19:30  (22 shifts per 6 weeks)
Night shift: 1930 – 0700 Saturday thru Wednesday (44 hours/week)
Emergency cases (on call) from 7:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. Saturday to Wednesday.
Thursday & Friday on call till 7:30 am on Saturday.
