Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (online degrees/diplomas are not accepted), and
• Current Nursing (RN) license in the North America, Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand, and
• Minimum two years of current experience as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area, working in a mid- to large-sized acute-care hospital in North America, Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand.

Department Information

Endoscopy Unit provides Gastro-intestinal, Pancreato-biliary and Pulmonology procedures through a video and/or fiber optic endoscopes. Operational guidelines for the Endoscopy Unit are for the purpose of providing safe and effective endoscopies in an ambulatory and inpatient setting. The Endoscopy Unit provides treatment and supportive nursing care to all age group, inpatients and outpatient with conditions requiring diagnostic/therapeutic, invasive and noninvasive procedures for diseases of the Lungs, Digestive and Pancreato-biliary tracts. Endoscopy Unit also provide service to Pediatric GI Pulmonology and colorectal Surgery.

Services include, but not limited to

• Endoscopy with biopsy of the esophagus, stomach, upper duodenum, pancreatic and biliary ducts, and the colon
• Esophageal/Colonoscopy with dilatation
• Esophageal Band Ligation
• Hemorrhoid Banding
• Esophageal/Colonoscopy with stent placement
• Endoscopic Percutaneous Gastrostomy Tube placement and removal
• Endoscopic polypectomy, sclerotherapy, hemostasis, hemoclipping and tattooing
• ERCP with sphincterotomy, stone removal, biliary dilatation and stent placement/removal (done in Medical Imaging Services)
• Endoscopic capsule
• Enteroscopy/Balloon Enteroscopy
• Endoscopic Ultrasound
• pH Manometry studies
• Bronchoscopy with Broncho-alveolar lavage, washing and biopsy
• Tracheostomy with Bronchoscopy guidance
